Here is Ruby Tourmaline in Matrix in an organic and upright shape. This make it nice to hold and easy to display on a desk or shelf. The stone is a gorgeous crimson-red variety of tourmaline growing naturally in stone from Madagascar. Often mistaken for ruby due to its vivid colour, this stunning crystal has its own unique identity and energy. The stone has been misnamed for years as Rubellite. However that variety is very rare and expensive. Neither is it Elbaite Tourmaline. These rich red crystals are embedded in their natural host rock, creating a powerful contrast between gem and matrix. The colour ranges from deep rose to blood red, with a glassy sparkle that catches the eye. It is the Madagascan version of Brazil’s pink tourmaline – just a lot darker. I believe the white is snow quartz. These pieces are raw and earthy, lightly polished to enhance the crystal detail without losing their natural feel.
